Asked plainly, answered plainly.
Is Waha licensed?
No — and nobody should claim Jordan's Platform Operator license until the Jordan Securities Commission says so publicly, including us. Jordan's Law No. 14 and Regulation No. 94 of 2025 created the path; we're at the capital-and-partner-bank step, and the tracker on this page shows exactly where things stand.
Isn't payments in Jordan already solved?
Mostly, yes — and we'll say it plainly: CliQ is instant and free for person-to-person today, and Reflect, Blink, Zain Cash, Orange Money, UWallet, and Dinarak all handle payments well. We're not here to fix payments. We're here for what none of them offer: crypto and dollar assets in one licensed Jordanian account. Today that means offshore workarounds — P2P marketplaces, foreign brokers funded by SWIFT wire — with no local protection. That's the gap.
Is the demo real money?
No. The demo runs on demo money with real market prices. Nothing you do in it is a real account, a real trade, or financial advice. What is real: the fees shown, which are the design intent we're publishing now so you can hold us to them.
When can I actually use Waha?
Sending and receiving come first. Anything to do with digital assets waits for the licence. Leave your email in the early-access form and you'll hear from us the moment something real opens — not before.
What will it cost?
The numbers on this site: 1% to buy or sell (all-in — no spread on top), 1.5% to receive a client payment at the real mid-market rate, and person-to-person transfers inside Waha free and instant — permanently, with no caps that quietly flip free into paid. If anything changes between here and launch, the format won't: one visible number, no spread hidden in the rate.
What's a stablecoin, and why USDT first?
A stablecoin is a digital asset designed to hold a fixed value — USDT tracks the US dollar, and since the dinar is pegged to the dollar, it stays steady in JOD terms too. For money that crosses borders, that steadiness is the whole point; speculation isn't.
Can AI agents use Waha?
Yes. Your AI can read prices and your brief and set a trade up, but only you can complete it. Today it's simulation-only, clearly labeled.
Who's behind Waha?
Global, based in Amman. Waha is the platform we operate, and the name is the promise: a waha is the resting point on the old trade routes where travelers were looked after first and business came second.
Be first to know when Waha opens.
We’re building in the open, starting with the Gulf-to-Jordan corridor. Leave your email and we’ll reach out as soon as we’re ready for early users.
